The 50mm lens is one of the flexible and useful lenses in any photographer's gear bag. It is neither a wide-angle or telephoto lens, but allows the camera to see on the same scale as your eye.
The nifty-fifty can be used for a variety of genres, from landscape and street photography to portrait and product photography.
In this meetup, we'll review the basic camera settings. We'll then cover some of the advantages of shooting with a prime lens, and some basic techniques to using the 50mm lens. It's a good creative practice to go outside your comfort zone and limit your shooting to one lens. When you move to compose your subject, you see different.
